These 1968 American Eagle brand bicycles are being loaded onto the truck for transporting from the Kawamura Factory to the Container Yard (CY) where they will be loaded into containers for shipment to WCCSC in Los Angeles. These are Hi-Riser (muscle bike) models. The #5512 is a boys 5-speed in blue. Standing adjacent to the truck is Irwin Hayutin of Pettee Cycle in Denver and one of the Japanese employees. Our group is standing at the end of the conveyor system where the bicycles exit the assembly department of the Kawamura Factory. Pictured (R to L): Mr. Ikutaki-Chief Engineer at Kawamura, Zeldon Lipski-president of Lousiville Cycle, Unknown Japanese Gent, My mother, RosaBelle Cohen of WCCSC, Ethel Hayutin of Pettee Cycle, Irwin Hayutin-president of Pettee Cycle, some of the Japanese employees of Kawamura and Maruka (Hashmoto-san is the 2nd man past Hayutin). The #2212 bikes stacked in the background is a boys coaster brake Hi-Riser (muscle bike) model in blue. They will be moved onto the transportation truck later.

1968 at the Kawamura Factory in the wrapping section of the assembly department. The bicycles are wrapped for protection; the tape has an easy-pull so the tape & paper is removed easily by the Bicycle Dealer when the bike is assembled at its final destination. The bike shown is a girls 20x1.75 in purple.
