Anheuser-Busch promoted the 1996 Olympic Games through a contest titled `Grab The Gold`. The Bud Light cans illustrated here (silver color) show a Mountain Bike Rider and the text is, `Olympic Mountain Biking, Youngest sport to ever gain Olympic recognition, Started in California, sport is only about 20 years old, Cycling dates to earliest modern Olympics in 1896, 100 years later, mountain biking makes line up`. Budweiser also produced regular beer (not light) in the traditional white color cans illustrating a track or timetrial racer, upon which the text is, `Longest road race: 198.8 miles in 1912, Greatest singles speed: 42.73 mph, Greatest tandem speed: 45.51 mph, Olympic road bikes can cost $45,000.` There is a 12-pack of Bud Light and one empty can of Budweiser King of Beers in the collection.
