| Kay & Howie were in Japan in August of 2000 for the ICHC (International Cycling History Conference) which was held at the Shimano facility in Sakai, Osaka, Japan. We stayed on for a week after the Conference ended so we could visit with some of our Japanese bicycle industry friends. This picture was taken at a dinner party arranged by the Kitaguchi family. The venue is the Hotel where Kay & I spent the night. We are sitting agura on the tatami mats.
