The shade has four (4) lovely illustrations of antique bicycles; (1) Adult Tricycle, (2) Ordinary, (3) High Wheel Chain Drive to front wheel, and (4) Early Safety. The diameter of the shade is 12 inches at the bottom and 6 inches at the top. It fits the traditional round bulbs and the new energy saving Compact Fluorescent Light Bulbs (CFL`s). The high wheel bike works well with any shade; the front wheel is 6 inches in diameter. A little note about ecology; it is said that if every American home replaced just one light bulb with a qualified Compact Fluorescent Light Bulb (CFL), we would save enough energy to light more than 3 million homes for a year, more than $600 million in annual energy costs, and prevent greenhouse gases equivalent to the emissions of more than 800,000 cars.
