| This photo of an 83 Member Stack of Ordinaries plus the additional vintage bikes in front of the stack was taken on the occasion of the 35th Wheelmen Meet on July 27, 2002 at the Clear Creek History Park in Golden, Colorado. Collector Steve Stevens was the captain of the Colorado Wheelmen at the time and he put forth a great effort to arrange for this photo and the entire Meet. This is a group of 49 photos all of which relate to bicycles in some way. It is definitely worth the time to view these photo-art images which I describe as EYE CANDY. The photos are joyful, interesting and/or tearful; they are profound! I gleaned these photos from The Boston Globe web site click here. on June 5, 2012; thanks to Swiss-TX friend Andre Bohren for forwarding the link to me. The opening statement of the article is:
PEDAL POWER
For well over a hundred years, people have hopped on bicycles for transportation, recreation, competition, and more. In many parts of the world, spinning pedals moves goods and generates electricity. While usually attached to two wheels, pedal power takes many forms, adapting to a wide range of needs. Globally, over 100 million bicycles are produced every year - over 60% of them in China - easily doubling world production of automobiles. Efficient, clean, and cheap, pedal power in all its forms can solve modern problems with basic technology, and offers a health benefit to those cranking away. And it`s hard to beat the simple joy of riding a bike. Gathered here are images of people around the world as we pedal for a reason, or just because. -- Lane Turner (49 photos total)

| Gene Smith (aka Smitty) with his charming companion, Suanne Chase, visited Kay & Howie in Colorado for a few days after the Interbike Expo in Las Vegas (September 2012). This photo was taken at The Colorado Wok, a local Chinese restaurant one evening at dinner. The food at the Colorado Wok is the best Chinese food that I have been able to find in all of Colorado.
