| This is an enlargement of a 1976 photo of one of the very first mountain bikes that was hand made and test ridden in Marin County. The enlargement is mounted onto a foam core board for hanging on a wall for display. Notice the balloon tires, motorcycle brake levers, front hub drum brake and reinforced handlebar. The rider is Charlie Kelly, who with Gary Fisher and Tom Ritchey formed the first known mountain bike company in 1979 which later became Fisher Mountain Bikes. The bike is by Craig Mitchell.
