2002 June 17th, Bill Quinn of the Bicycle Journal Magazine at age 90
Kay & Howie visited Bill & Lynn`s home in Fort Worth, TX after attending the celebration of the100th Anniversary of the Hans Johnsen Co., one of the best Distributors in the bicycle industry.  Howie has known Bill and Lynn Quinn since his teen years, they have always been graciously supportive of members of the bicycle industry, covering most industry events with reports and photos. Bill was and continues to be an advocate and friend of IBD`s (Independent Bicycle Dealers). I appreciated Bill`s closing paragraph where he wrote; Both of the Quinn`s enjoyed being with you all in March of last year. I don`t have to tell you, Howie, that you were one of our all-time favorites in the bike biz. A little history about the Hans Johnsen Co: Howard & Andy Johnsen have been associates of Howie for almost as long as I can remember. Howard`s son, Lance is now heading the company and Steve Matil continues to be the capable & friendly general manager of the bicycle division. See the picture gallery. [Item# B.Quinn.g 2002]

more details
1963 April-10th, Roland C. Geist Suggested Outline for a handbook on Bicycle Paths and Cycle Touring
This is a carbon copy (cc) on tissue paper of a suggested outline for a handbook titled Bicycle Paths and Cycle Touring written by Roland C. Geist. Carbon copies on tissue paper were the common practice at the time because word processors and photocopy machines were just in their infancy stage. There are three (3) copies of this document which indicate that Geist planned to or maybe did send a copy to several different recipients. Geist did send one copy to Horace Huffman (aka Huffy) suggesting that Huffy or the B.I.A. publish a handbook. Letters from Huffy to Geist dated April 11 & 17 (in this collection) make reference to this outline. The dimensions of this document are 8 1/1 x 11 inches. [Item# Geist.j 1963]

1963 April-25th, Roland C. Geist Suggested Outline for a Film on BICYCLING
This is a carbon copy (cc) on tissue paper of a suggested outline for a film on BICYCLING written by Roland C. Geist. Carbon copies on tissue paper were the common practice at the time because word processors and photocopy machines were just in their infancy stage. There are five (5) copies of this document which indicate that Geist planned to or maybe did send a copy to several different recipients. Under the Part-II Section there are three items hand written by Geist in addition to the eleven (11) typed items. Although somewhat difficult to read, I think the handwritten Geist notes are: (13) BTLA probably referring to Bicycle Tour of Los Angeles, and (14) Hall of Fam probably referring to the USA Bicycle Hall of Fame which was then located in New Jersey. The dimensions of this document are 8 1/1 x 11 inches. [Item# Geist.m 1963]
