Notice the special affects obtained by the photographer when he developed the photo. The photo is attached to matt board with adhesive. The dimensions of the photo are 9 3/4 x 13 1/2 inches, the condition is good. At the time, this model (Road Compe) was the most expensive and best quality bicycle imported to the USA from Japan. A little history; this marked the beginning of the Japan Bicycle Industry producing high quality bicycles and component parts that could compete with the European Bicycle Industry. Shimano, SunTour, Sugino, Dia-Compe, Araya, Taihei, Sanshin, Asahi, Kusuki, Kyokuto (KKT), Mikashima (MKS) and other component manufacturers cooperated closely with Howie so WCCSC could introduce high quality Japanese bicycles into the American market. |
