'Authorized Shcwinn Dealer Certificate' 1952 Item# WH,misc-002 [WH,misc-002] Categories: Art, Wall Hanging-Miscellaneous,     Since Howie Cohen's passing, no items are for sale. The certificate is issued to Playrite Bicycle Supply Company #1, which is the store that was owned by Howie's parents, Leo Sr. and RoasBelle Cohen. The Certificate bears the corporate seal of Arnold, Schwinn & Company of Chicago, ILL. The dimensions are 14 3/4 x 11 3/4 inches. A little history; store #1 was located at 168 N. La Brea, Los Angeles, CA. It was the first bicycle store that Leo and RoasBelle opened after having moved to CA from MN in 1947. Store #2 located at 227 E. 6th Street in downtown L.A. was opened next, and the 3rd store was subsequently opened in Glendale, CA. After stores #1 and #3 were sold, Playrite was consolodated into the larger #2 downtown location and the wholesale business was started there. The name of the business was subsequantly changed to West Coast Cycle Supply Co (WCCSC).
