AVAILABLE TO SELL, I HAVE DUPLICATES! The front and back sides of card #26 illustrating and describing the 'Dursley Pedersen Cantilever Bicycle' invented, produced and patented in 1893 by Mr. M. Pedersen, a Dane, living in Dursley, Gloucestershire, England. This design was considerably lighter than the contemporary bicycles of the time. Pedersen also patented a 3-speed hub gear in 1902 which is built into the bicycle illustrated. See the Pedersen Catalogs in the 'Catalog-Antique, Parts Mfgrs' that is part of this collection. The series contains 50 cards produced for John Player and Sons (a cigarette company), branch of the Imperial Tobacco Company, Ltd. of Great Britian and Ireland. I will not include photos of all 50 individual cards but at the end of this category you will find photos of the front of each and every card, plus photos of two Souvenir Books with all 50 cards mounted. Additionally there is a framed wall hanging piece containing 20 of the cards. The dimensions of each card are 2 5/8 x 1 3/8 inches.
