| There are a few different Schwinn surfboards out in the market place. Erick of So-Cal owns this one as of October 2010. Here are a few photos sent to me by Erick The surfboard is 9-feet long. I am not certain that all of Erick`s information about Schwinn`s surfboards is 100% correct.

Hi Howie, I also have one of the 8 - 10 authorized 9 Foot long SURFBOARDS that Schwinn had produced for the Intell show. You probably saw them at the show in the mid 1990`s, I have one! They were given to high end personal people from companies over seas that were at the show, and only a couple of the authorized ones are still here in the states! Mine is in COOL ORANGE; and just an unbelievable Schwinn collectible item to have! It is one of the prize Schwinn items that I own! There were some made that were not authorized by Schwinn that are out there; still a fun item, they are 6 foot or so long! But to have one of the long boards, the ONES THAT SCHWINN HAD PRODUCED is incredible, I am fortunate to have found it. I`ve had a couple of the ones not produced through Schwinn, still were fun but sold them and kept the ORIGINAL ONE! There are also some home made ones out there through out the years, but not by Schwinn! Probably made by an individual for a display item or so. Everybody that comes into my home and see`s this board just has to make an offer for it, and some big time collectors have offered serious $$ for it. There are folks that have searched for one or something similar to have in their collections even if it`s just one that was made by a private party. Some collectors that have seen the board have gone out of their way to get a board of their own because of this one! It`s a very fun item!! |
