A part of the text is, `Apply to your local rationing board for application blank`, and also the phrase, `Bicycle rationing restrictions have been relaxed, effective February 1, 1943, particularly in the seventeen eastern states`. The dimensions are 12 1/2 x 19 inches. This is a photo of Joe Steinlauf, his wife, his two sons and a daughter-in-law, of Chicago. Joe and his 3 brothers, Charley, Maurice and Dave, built many different and wacky bicycles from scratch, using items unrelated to usual bicycles. See the 4 page article published in the September 1947 issue of `POPULAR MECHANICS` in the gallery. Many thanks to Dan and Cheri LePro for loaning me the article so it could be included in this offering of information.
