| Since Howie Cohen's passing, no items are for sale. | This poster illustrates A BICYCLE BUILT FOR SIX. The photo is by permission of J.C. Allen of West Lafayette, IN. New Departure distributed posters to retail bicycle stores for point of purchase advertising. This poster is from the collection of Phil Mole Sr., ex bike racer, trick rider, cycling aficionado and ex owner of the John T. Bill Co., one of the major bicycle distributors in the Los Angeles area from 1895 to the mid 1980s. Many thanks to Pete Mole, Howie`s long time friend, for making it possible to share this with you. The poster has been folded. There were several different designs in this series. New Departure Coaster Brakes were invented by Harry Townsend & the Rockwell brothers (Albert & Edward) while they were employed by the New Departure Manufacturing Company. The dimensions are 16 x 25 inches. From the New Departure Press. See the picture gallery. |
