 | | Since Howie Cohen's passing, no items are for sale. | | The picture in this c.1935 large poster is of Sir Malcolm Campbell and his family while riding their bikes back in England; they are all ardent cyclists. He broke his own World`s Speed Record at Daytona of 272 mph; the new record, while driving his new Bluebird, became 276.8 mph. New Departure distributed posters to retail bicycle stores for point of purchase advertising. There were several different designs in this series. New Departure Coaster Brakes were invented by Harry Townsend & the Rockwell brothers (Albert & Edward) while they were employed by the New Departure Manufacturing Company.
