An aluminum Puch logo is attached to the marble base. The base is 2 inches square. A little history; Puch manufactured motorcycles and bicycles in Austria. In the 1960`s the factory name was Steyer Damiler Puch and the Steyer bicycles were distributed in America by United Import Sales of Los Angeles, owned by Rudi Seidler and his wife, who were the parents in law of Mitchell Weiner, who managed the company. In later years Mitch started his own company, Western States Imports (WSI) and developed the Centurion and Diamond Back brands. United Import was later sold to Cycles Peugeot. The Kuwahara factory in Osaka produced Puch brand bicycles in the 1970`s and/or 1980`s.
