 | | Since Howie Cohen's passing, no items are for sale. | | This is one of the original large French posters advertising Michelin Bicycle Tires in the late 1800`s. It is interesting to note that this tire company continues to use `The Michelin Man` (aka bibendum) in their marketing in the year 2009 (more than 100 years later). This is an `original` poster which is professionally mounted on linen fabric. The condition is remarkably good for the age; there are some fold marks but no missing pieces. The dimensions of the poster are 31 1/2 x 47 1/2 inches, the dimensions of the linen are 34 x 51 inches. I took these pictures after removing the rolled up poster from the carton. Because my camera position was not exactly squared-up with the poster my images appear to not be perfectly rectangular. However the actual poster & linen are almost perfectly rectangular.
