This letter, on IVER JOHNSON SPORTING GOODS CO letterhead, is dated February 11, 1933 as is the postmark on the envelope. At the time I.J. had three facilities; Fitchburg, Boston & Worcester. J. Lovell Johnson was president & W.O. Johnson was treasurer. The company had ten departments including the bicycle & firearm departments (see the bottom & reverse side of the letterhead). The artwork on the stationary & envelope is quite attractive. Enclosed with the letter are two pieces of literature: (1) advertising a book titled HOW TO MAKE GOOD PICTURES & (2) a pamphlet titled HOW TO TAKE PHOTOGRAPHS. The dimensions of the stationary is 8 3/8 x 10 3/4 inches, the envelope is 8 13/16 x 3 7/8 inches. This image is of side one of the letterhead stationary. See the picture gallery.
