Notice the color of ink and dimensions are different from the December 1893 issue. This Feb-1895 issue has a similar front cover design but is published by the League of American Wheelmen, Sterling Elliott, Managing editor, located at 12 Pearl St., Boston, Mass. See the January 1893 issue (item #L.A.W.-16 in this collection) which had the same address overprinted on the front cover. The subscription price has been reduced to .10 cents per copy or $1.00 per year. An illustrated monthly magazine devoted to the improvement of the public roads and streets. This is a very valuable reference material, it is full of advertisements from bike mfgr`s, parts/sundry mfgr`s and bicycle retailers; some of the companies advertising are not well known to historians and collectors. There are many illustrations that can be photocopied. The number of pages will vary with each different issue. It contains stories from bicyclists about their rides and love of bicycling as well as stories and illustrations about the need and development of better roads across the United States. The front cover bears the phrase, `If they have no roads they are savages for the road is the creation of man and a type of civilized society`. The condition is very good. The dimensions are 6 x 8 5/8 inches (smaller than the 1893 issues).
