Paraphrased from www.bespokecycling.com: In the early ‘80s Kent Eriksen founded Moots and was the driving force that enabled the company to grow from a small outfit operating out of the back of his bike shop to its current position as one of the most respected titanium builders in the world. However missing the intimacy of the early days, in 2004 he left to start all over again. In February 2006 Kent Eriksen Cycles started production, and a new adventure begins! Based in stunning Steamboat Springs, Kent and his team focus on what they do best – hand building every type of titanium frame out there. Featuring welds that will blow you away, and a level of craftsmanship and attention to detail you only get with a company that caps its yearly production at 200 frames, Kent Eriksen frames are truly exceptional. The designs are also extremely versatile. Every frame is custom made so all the angles and tube lengths are designed for you in mind. The guys also build every type of bike imaginable – road bike, cross bike and mountain bike. And every sub category as well – so in terms of mountain bikes they build 26’ers and 29’ers, fully rigid, hardtail and full suspension rigs. And such is the cult following of Kent’s name that once you buy one of his frames, you soon start thinking about the next one to add to your growing collection. When you get the opportunity to work with an industry legend, you jump at it. Its as simple as that.
