The Eagle was an American designed and produced bicycle manufactured from 1889 through 1891. The concept was to prevent riders from taking a `header`as was often done on Ordinaries. Today, the original Eagle bicycles are extremely rare and highly collectible. This poster is taken from an original pen and ink drawing by Karl Edwards that was done to emulate Victorian era broadsheet advertisements. Edwards made the drawing on antique paper that dates to the period.
