| AVAILABLE TO SELL, I HAVE A DUPLICATE SET. I also have a broken set so I can sell an individual token/coin if someone so desires.! This commemorative set of transit fare tokens was created for the Southern California Rapid Transit District in cooperation with the Los Angeles Olympic Organizing Committee, for use during the 1984 Olympic Games. The 24th token represents the universal spirit of the 1984 Olympic Games held in the city of Los Angeles. The other 23 tokens each have one of the competition disciplines of the Summer Games. The reverse side of each coin bears the official symbol of the XXIIIrd Olympiad. This set was designed by the noted numismatic artist, N. Neil Harris. The token specifications are: (1) Year - 1984, (2) Total coins per set - 24, (3) Condition - uncirculated, (4) Size - 30mm {1.181 inches}, (5) Subject - 1984 Summer Olympics, (6) Country - USA.
The disciplines illustrated on the 23 coins are: Archery, Baseball, Basketball, Boxing, Canoeing, Cycling, Equestrian, Fencing, Field Hockey, Gymnastics, Handball, Judo, Pentathlon, Rowing, Shooting, Soccer, Swimming, Tennis, Track & Field, Volleyball, Weightlifting, Wrestling, and Yachting.
