Alan was deeply involved in the bicycle industry during the BMX Hay Days. Seated on the tatami mats starting from the right side of the photo are: Amy Stephens of ACS (American Cycle Systems), Alan Cohan, Judy Cohan both of the Alan F. Cohan Co., Kay Cohen of Everything Bicycles, and Hase-san who was the ACS distributor in Japan for the ACS Skateboard products. Chuck Stephens and Howie Cohen were in attendance but somehow missed being in this photo. As you can see from our attire in the Japanese Yukatas, we have just returned from the hot baths (Spa) where we enjoyed a wonderful experience. |

Enjoying a dinner business meeting are Left to Right; Alan Cohan, Judy Cohan, Yoshi Kawasumi (Circle Corp of Japan) and Taka Nieda (Teel, Inc of New Jersey). Taka was the importer/agent for many Japanese, Taiwanese and Chinese bicycles and bicycle products sold in America. Yoshi was Taka's business associate in Japan. Alan represented Taka for sales to bicycle distributors and some OE factories. |
