McCormick joined Chicago Cycle in 1927. He served the company as a sales rep throughout Indiana and later in Michigan. In 1962 he was promoted to bicycle sales manager where he worked until his retirement in 1972. William `BR` Regnier was appointed the bicycle sales manager upon McCormick`s retirement.
