This Victor Mfg Co of Chicago is not to be confused with the Overman Wheel Co,, makers of Victor Brand Bicycles with office and factory in Chicopee Falls, Mass. When compared to the Schwinn 1899 catalog front cover, you will see that the two bicycles, Schwinn & Victor, look amazingly alike. It is possible that one of the two companies produced the branded bicycle for the other company? This single page from the 1899 catalogue is printed on both sides illustrating the Model 81 Gents` with 30 inch wheels at $34.00 retail. The similar ladies` model is #82. The detailed specifications are on the reverse side. The enameling was available in black, purple and vermilion, decorated and striped. The ladies` model was supplied with 28 inch wheels at a $5.00 reduction in cost. The condition of this page is poor but completely legible, the dimensions are 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 inches.
