| | This is the business card of our family`s bike shop located at 221 East 6th St., in Los Angeles. This was the second store that my parents opened in L.A., the first being at 168 N. LaBrea Ave. My father operated the 6th St. store while my mother operated the La Brea store (which they sold in later years to Al at which time it became Al`s Bicycle Store). We became the distributor for Whizzer Motor Bikes, motors and replacement parts when the Harry Wilson Sales Agency decided they did not want to continue with the Whizzer products. Whizzer was one of the lines that enabled my parents develope the wholesale distribution business that later became West Coast Cycle. For a few years we operated the retail and wholesale business, after which we discontinued the retail stores to concentrate our efforts on the distribution side of the business. |
