| This is page-1 of a 3-page brochure for Hooker frames, forks, brakes, seat post, handlebar, stem and front hub. Complete bikes are illustrated and mentioned but it does not appear that Hooker sold complete bikes; wheels, drive train, seats and some other components could be assembled onto their frame sets. Although not dated it appears that this brochure was distributed in 1994. At the time the company was located in Ontario, California. I am grateful to Howard R. of San Diego, California for sharing this and other printed matter, photos and other information about Hooker products as well as photos and information about his extensive private collection. You can sometimes find Howard working on bikes at REVOLUTION BIKES in Solana Beach, California on Fridays.
Hooker Elite Time Trial bicycles were used successfully in many competitions including the 1993 U.S. Nationals where they and their riders captured (a) the men`s team time trial, (b) 1st and 3rd in the women`s individual time trial, and (c) four of the top six places in the men`s individual time trials. The then current World Amateur Hour record was also set on a Hooker Elite bicycle. Hooker bicycles were designed by Gary Hooker and Dave Spangler.
Riders using Hooker Elite bikes racked up some impressive wins in 1993:
U.S Senior Nationals: 6-gold and 1-silver & 2-bronze medals.
U.S. Masters Nationals: 20 medals.
Of the 29 total medals mentioned above, there were 19-gold, 4-silver & 6-bronze.
Rebecca Twigg riding an Elite Kilo-Pursuit won the gold at the 1993 World Championships and set a new 3,000 meter Individual Pursuit world record (3:37.347).
