The title of this 78+ page hard cover book is a little misleading; THE WW2 US MILITARY FOLDING BICYCLE - 1941-1948: A Chronological History. The book contains a lot more information than simply about folding bikes. There are descriptions, photos and advertisement-reprints of rigid bikes in addition to the folding bikes. The history of how Albert Pope got started in the bicycle business is clearly described as is the history of Columbia. The author, Tony Oliver, has amassed a great deal of information as well as a wonderful large collection of memorabilia relating to bicycles and related items that were available during the years of WW1 and WW2. Anyone interested in WW1 or WW2 bicycles and/or the history of Pope-Columbia will want to read this terrific book; it is very tastefully written and illustrated. The dimensions are 7 5/8 x 10 inches.
