THIS BOOK IS AVAILABLE TO SELL! Between The Hammer And The Sickle-Across Russia By Cycle is a 273 page hard cover book by Simon Vickers. After negotiating with the Soviet authorities for 1 1/2 years, four men (British, French American & Russian) secured permission to cross the USSR with a freedom undreamt of since 1917. They chose to travel by bicycle from Leningrad to Vladivostock. Their 12,000 kilometer journey took them through Russia, Kazakhstan & Siberia.
