| | 043 A beautiful buckle in a silver tone finish. Notice the great details and proportions; downtube shifters, cables, trees, mountains, etc. The dimensions are 2 7/8 x 2 1/16 inches. The text on the back is, `Lewis Buckles, Chicago (the manufacturer) and very important, Howard W. Georger Company, December 1975. A little history; the Georger Company in Buffalo, NY, was one of the most respected distributors in America. Robert W. Georger (Bob) managed the company since the late 1960`s and finally sold the company to GT while Richard Long was still alive. More detailed information in Howie`s History of the Bike Industry. |
