 | | Since Howie Cohen's passing, no items are for sale. | | This interesting article about a Unicycle performer of the 1800`s and early 1900`s is on the reverse side of a piece of music which is unrelated to bicycles or bicycling; it is a March composed by W.N. Merrick, Band Master of the Great Adam Forepaugh and Sells Brothers Enormous Shows United. Printed on the reverse side of the music is a full page article titled, `UNIQUE UNICYCLING, CAREER OF A MOST EXTRAORDINARY ATHLETE`. Albert H. Minting, aka `Minting the Marvel` who performed fantastic unicycle feats in England, Russia and on the European continent. In April 1901 he performed in the USA at The Madison Square Garden in New York. Minting was born in England in the 1800`s. His father was the first person to ever ride a unicycle. The article is of great interest to collectors and historians of unicycles. |
