It is from the 1981 Junior WORLD CYCLING CHAMPIONSHIPS which were held in Leipzig & Grimma, Germany, July 7~12. The The material is Naugahyde Upholstery fabric (Kunstleder) with gold printing and the dimensions are 11 1/4 x 15 1/2 inches. The material is die-cut so as to appear like the skin of an animal. The DRSV logo with the wheel & DDR is probably the logo for the Deutscher Rad Sport Verband, the DDR cycling federation. The center large circle contains the UCI logo with the letters FIA above. The smaller circle on the right is of a hammer & compass, the insignia of the DDR flag. Thanks to friend Andre Bohren (my TX-Swiss Connection) for helping with this description. |
