 | | Since Howie Cohen's passing, no items are for sale. | | Three well known bicycle racing personalities posing on a railing as if on a triplet; R. to L. William (Bill) Honeman, Alfred Letourneur and Han Carpus (I need some help with this spelling). Bill Honeman was the USA National Sprint Champion. Alfred Letourneur rode at 108.02mph behind a car on a Los Angeles Freeway in 1941. BTW his record was broken in 1951 by Frenchman Jose Meiffret in Freiburg, Germany where Meiffret reached 127.342mph behind a car. The photo is 9 1/2 x 7 1/2 inches and was given to me by Lorne Shields. |
