Gaskin Cycle Co was located at 92 Middle St., New Bern, NC (the eastern part of NC). The owner since 1912 was Mr. J.F. Deppe, a popular and progressive man who lived in New Bern since 1892. The text on the front of the medal is GOOD FOR FIFTY CENTS ON EVERY FIVE DOLLARS WORTH PURCHASED, DON`T WORRY JUST PURCHASE. The reverse side of the medal contains the text MEMBERSHIP MEDAL OF THE DON`T WORRY CLUB and bears the image of a swastika which was a positive symbol of Good Luck at the time. The swastika symbol was later adopted by Nazi Germany at which time it became a negative symbol to most of mankind. In the open areas of the swastika there are 4 other symbols of Good Luck; (1) a four leaf clover, (2) a wishbone, (3) a horseshoe, and (4) an All Seeing Eye. The words GOOD LUCK appear below the swastika. The diameter is 32mm (1 1/4 inches).
