This photo of Howie & Kay together with Howie's brother, Leo Cohen Jr. & friend-Santia was taken during the 1991 meeting of the Wild Bunch which was held in Palm Springs, CA. The Wild Bunch is a group of guys who went to Grammar School, Junior High School and High School together. The group would meet on Thursday nights to have dinner at the Cheesecake Factory in Marina del Ray. Not every member attended all of the schools and not everyone would be able to attend the weekly dinners, but there was a core group of which my brother was a member. The Wild Bunch was a group of really nice guys that cared for and about each other.

November 1994, Kay & Howie with friends from Lomita, CA, Dick & Joann Pooler on the upper deck of our Breckenridge home. The Pooler's stayed with us for a few days and we enjoyed getting together with them after missing them for several years. Dick is the person who painted the Kuwahara bikes (frames & forks) that were used by Universal Studio in the filming of the movie, E.T., the Extra Terrestrial. Dick had an auto paint and repair shop at the time.

Howie & Kay Cohen in their kitchen showing the "snack pack" they prepared for Tony & Lucy Gil to enjoy during their trip from the Cohen's home in Lafayette CO back to their home in Victorville, CA. Tony & Lucy kindly accompanied Kay & Howie on the driving trip from Victorville, CA to Lafayette, CO. Both SUV vehicles were packed full of personal items acquired during our 5-month trip/visit to our sister & brother-in-law, Louise "Puss" and Dave Clark. Puss passed away on March 2, 2011. We were fortunate enough to be able to spend several months with them before her passing and a few months after to help Dave get settled in his new life without the presence of his beloved wife of 44 years. Tony & Lucy Gil and the entire Gil family were friends of the Clark's before we arrived and are now also good friends of the Cohen's. Notice the bicycle decorations on the walls of the kitchen.
