The Pawsat brothers, Ewald and Herman, the founders of Wald, retire from the company. Two of Ewald's sons, Ruben and Carlton took over management of the company. Howie was well acquainted with both of them and they refused to supply Wald products directly to WCCSC because of their business relationship with the Harry Wilson Sales Agency who was also located in Los Angeles. Therefore, WCCSC ordered our Wald product requirements through Pettee Cycle and the merchandise was shipped from Wald to Pettee and then Pettee shipped it on to WCCSC. It was a little more expensive and troublesome for WCCSC, but the Wald line of products were important to the dealers in the 1950's and 1960's, so we did what we had to do.
