This StarJet brand 3-speed bike was produced by Chain Bike Corp (CBC) the same factory that produced Ross brand bikes. This is the model CENTRAL PARK which was produced under the StarJet brand for a large customer of CBC. Luke DeNitto bought this bike in 2010 because it is a well preserved specimen of an American made lightweight bicycle from the 1960-1970 era. I was with Luke (via cell phone) when he spotted the bike, so I was able to give him some information about the bike & factory. Jerry Ross was the president of CBC for the many years that I was associated with them. Vice President was Sam Wilkins (Jerry`s brother-in-law) and sales manager was Fred Wilkins (Sam`s son). In the later years, Randy Ross & his sister (the children of Jerry & Barbara Ross) became active in the company. CBC produced the full line of Ross brand bikes as well as many private branded bikes including some American Flyer models for Pettee Cycle of Denver.

The BMA/6 decal on the seat tube. The BMA was the Bicycle Manufacturers of America, an association consisting of most of the bicycle makers in America at the time. The BMA/6 regulations were a set of self imposed standards (safety & quality) that had to be met in order for this decal to be applied to a bike.
