This poster was sent to all Schwinn dealers; it is a POP poster advertising Schwinn-Built Bicycles. The text states that Alfred Letourneur rode his Schwinn Paramount bike the fastest mile in history at 108.92mph and that the speed record was sanctioned and officially timed by A.A.A The pace car driver was Ronney Householder. The record setting event took place on May 17, 1941 in Bakersfield, CA. Vince, from Vincents Bike Shop in Bakersfield was involved in setting up the event. The dimensions are 20 x 31 inches. It has been folded so there are crease lines.
